Brent and Belinda spent decades travelling for work and pleasure and finally settled in New Plymouth.
Helicopter pilot Brent has flown in many countries; in support of oil and gas, in defence support roles and in logistical support in remote locations like Antarctica.
Belinda spent 25 years working on a variety of ships; expedition ships, super yachts, deep-diving submersible motherships. Her roles as Expedition Leader or hotel manager gave her a great insight into the needs of fellow travellers.
After coming ashore they decided to build Aviator as an accommodation option for those wanting a hotel experience away from the noise and chaos of a large hotel.
They love sharing the region (voted "the worlds second best region to visit" by Lonely Planet 2017) with working or holidaying Kiwis and overseas visitors. Aviator is set in the New Plymouth Airport suburb (away from the flight path so there is no noise disruption!) on an acre of semi rural land.
